


The Cape Law Society Family Law Committee is a team of 12 highly experienced specialists who practice Family Law. As a committee they track developments in the area of Family Law, are active at a national level and make recommendations to government of proposed legislation.
Their main objectives are to:- Raise awareness in the Law Society, the profession and the public of issues relating to the field of family law & gender.
- Provide training and education to the profession on family law & gender.
- Provide expertise to the Law Society and its members on issues relating to family law & gender.
- Prepare statements, critiques and general commentary as required on current events, publications and initiatives, including legislation for referral to the CLS Council.
- Scrutinize new legislation in the public interest and in the interest of the profession.
