It is far better to have everything on hand once you start, than have to stop halfway through and try to find what you need. Never mind the fact that an essential item required might not be in stock.

Having planned the project and worked out the tools and materials necessary, the next step is to determine how much the project will cost. While you will save hundreds, if not thousands, of Rand by doing it yourself, it is always a good idea to get a couple of quotes from professional contractors before you start – so that you have an idea of what costs you are looking at. For some projects the amount of work involved as opposed to the cost may be better off tackled by a professional.
